Getting to know this team we learn just how connected they are and how relentless to catch both men. Within the FBI we meet Assistant Director Dwight Ross who dislikes Emmy and tries to throw roadblocks in her way, but her instincts are on point and her skills sharp as well as those of her two teammates Bonita Sexton and Eric Pullman aka Rabbit and Pully. Even worse after assessing the evidence he thinks that this person is working with a Citizen David as his accomplice. Harrison (Books) Bookman is an FBI Special Agent drawn into the case because he’s engaged to Emmy and the FBI thinks she’s the one leaking the information to the press. Here’s the rub: he’s leaking information to a reporter named Shaindy Eckstein whose writing stories on the FBI hunt for him. He’s considered a Robin Hood, part Snowden, part Bernie Sanders, part Black lives Matter and part Una bomber. He hacked the computers of a minimum-security prison and was responsible for bombing of several buildings in the United States. He hacks college admissions systems, pharmaceutical company’s computer system and leaked emails showing that the company knew but never revealed that an ingredient in one of its hepatitis vaccines caused renal failure. He is the person who has claimed responsibility for a few acts of civil disobedience and domestic terrorism. There is another case that is running parallel and that’s Citizen David. He subdues the victim and makes it look like an accident or natural causes.Įmmy enlisted the help of a police detective to find out what happened to one of the victims, but the detective is blindsided by the killer and is a victim too. This person stalks the victim and knows their routine. Each victim had tiny needle -size puncture wounds on the torso that are unexplained. Each one lives close to a bus stop and each of them has his/her house for sale and posted photos and videos of the interior of their homes on the net. Someone is killing victims that do charity work helping the homeless, each life in a single-story house, a garage, and a private backyard. FBI agent Emmy Dockery is charged up after taking down a serial killer named Graham leaving her ready for her next challenge.

Obsessive behavior and relentless and impulsive behavior drive each one of the primary characters within this high pitched and psychological thriller. Obsessions are at the root of this novel.
